Hey everyone. I wanted to share a project I am a part of and a big fan of...BIG JACK: ANIMALS.
The campaign has 22 days left and $2300 to go. We could really use the help getting the word out.
I co-wrote this comic adaption of the post-apocalyptic revenge short stories by author Peter Welmerink which we turned into a 3 issue black and white comic series.
With art by EV Cantada, letters by Justin Birch, and edited by Kasey Pierce. BIG JACK: ANIMALS is a great project and Peter has some amazing reward tiers available.

NEW RUMBLE KINGS ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT!

As I announced earlier in the week, William Reyes will no longer be the artist on Rumble Kings moving forward. I consider William a good friend, therefore, I do not wish to discuss the details of his departure publicly, but will say that this decision was not made lightly. After lengthy talks with the Rumble Kings team, it was decided this is what is best for the series right now. William is an incredible talent and I have no doubt that we will work together again someday, but for now, this is where we part ways.
So where does this leave RUMBLE KINGS going forward?
Well, Rumble Kings #2 was successfully funded on Kickstarter in June and was scheduled to ship in August. As you can see, that didn't happen. We had hoped to get ahead of schedule by beginning art way back in November of last year. By August we sat with only 13 inked pages. So with William's departure, we looked for a new artist to finish Issue #2 so we could get it out to backers as soon as possible. The hunt for a replacement artist was on and time was of the essence. But thanks to Rumble Kings color artist DC Alonso, we found our man.
I would like to introduce you all to Daniel Pascual.
Daniel comes to us from Madrid, Spain. He is an amazing illustrator with a great comic book background. He is a studio mate with DC in Butxido Agency. They have a great roster of talent there and I couldn't be happier to have him on board. You can see some of his work here on his social media sites.
Now, with bringing on a new artist. Obviously there was going to be a visual difference between his style and that of William's. So, the team stood at a crossroad. Do we finish the issue in a completely different style to what William had already started or do we scrap everything and start from scratch? Speaking for myself, whenever a single comic had more than one artist telling the same story it always took me out of the story. The change in art style was too much for me to get past. The more I debated, the more I realized how unfair it would be to both William and Daniel, as well as too everyone who supported the book , to have two different art styles in this issue. So, after quite a lot of back and forth on my part, the decision was clear. We would start Issue #2 all over.
Here is the first piece of art Daniel and DC have created for Rumble Kings. We couldn't be happier with where Rumble Kings is headed visually. What do you think?
So, now that we have a new artist on board, what now? Well, now it is time to get this baby cranked out. Trust me when I say that everyone on board Team Rumble Kings wants to deliver the very best issue we can to everyone who backed our Kickstarter and pre-ordered through our website. Keeping your trust and support and growing our brand is priority number one with us. So to everyone who backed the Issue #2 Kickstarter, please believe me when I say that Issue #2 will be more than worth your investment. We want nothing more than for each and all of you to enjoy issue #2 and return to us next year as we plan to release Issues 3 & 4 by years end and close out this opening story arc.
Thank you all again for being so patient and supportive. We will keep you updated.
